Purpose:
To promote Jamaica’s heritage (natural, material and cultural); and highlight the activities and offerings of the Institute of Jamaica.
Functions:
The Outreach Committee serves its purpose by:
· Erecting displays relating to aspects of Jamaica’s heritage and/or activities and offerings of the Institute of Jamaica; in public spaces, institution and corporations.
· Making presentations to groups on aspects of Jamaica’s heritage and/or activities and offerings of the Institute of Jamaica.
· Participate in media interviews relating to aspects of Jamaica’s heritage and/or activities and offerings of the Institute of Jamaica.
· Plan and/or assist in the planning of the Institute of Jamaica’s participation in national celebrations, cultural festivals, and commemorative activities.
