REWARD FOR HANOVER MUSEUM ARTEFACTS RETURN
A reward has been offered for the safe return of missing artefacts from the Hanover
Museum in Lucea, Jamaica.
On Friday 14th January, 2005 at about 1:52 a.m., thieves broke into the Hanover
Museum in Lucea and stole valuable artefacts from the Mini Museum. The burglar(s)
forced open the rear door of the museum and entered. Upon entry, the burglar(s)
forced the window of the mini museums open and stole the artefacts therein. The
burglar(s) also cut the power line coming to the Hanover Museum from the Infirmary.
The police was called and a detailed search revealed that the following artefacts
were missing:
• Imperial Gallon Measure labelled “Hanover 1893/4”
• Imperial Peck Measure labelled “Hanover 1893/4”
• Imperial Bushel Measure labelled “Hanover 1893/4”
• Imperial weights (56 lbs, 21 lbs, 7 lbs, 2 lbs, and 1 lb)
• Measures (1 gallon, ½ gallon and 1/6 pint) labelled “CA”
• 19 century sewing machine

We are appealing to vistors of this Website for their assitance in recovering the
missing artefacts.
