The Collections

The botanical and zoological collections were established to fulfil part of the Institute of Jamaica’s mandate for the preservation of Jamaica’s natural history. They are the national collections and serve as resources for the identification of floral and faunal specimens. The Science Library collection houses literature and illustrations related to Jamaican natural history.
