The Half Way Tree Branch

The Half Way Tree Junior Centre housed in the Old Court House building and situated on the grounds of the St. Andrew Parish Church, reopened in September 2002.

The Centre, which was closed for approximately 18 years, was reopened as a result of a growing need in this geographical area for a cultural Centre which catered specifically to young persons.

The Centre presently offers classes on Mondays to Thursdays 2:30 - 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.  Classes are offered in Speech, Drama, Drumming, Dance, Art and Craft, Needlecraft, Sign Language and Heritage Fun Studies for young people ages 6-18 years.

Located in the centre of Half Way Tree and housed in an historic building, the Junior Centre will help to foster good cultural values and skills which it is hoped will be transformed into good moral values and help to develop good qualities in our young people.
