v  Speech & Drama - Poetry; Standard English; Dialect; Dub Poetry.

v  Dance - Afro-Caribbean Rhythms

 

v  Music - Drumming to Afro-Caribbean Rhythms; Piano; Recorders and Other Percussion instruments

 

v  Storytelling - Traditional Ring Games & Anansi Stories.

 

v  Art/Craft - Painting; Batik, Tie & Dye, Ceramics, Use of recycled materials, etc.

 

v  Papermaking - Making of postcards, gift bags, etc. from paper made from old newsprint and other types of paper

 

v  Needlework - Basic Stitches; How to make Pot Holders, Book-Markers, Table Mats, etc

 

v  Reading - Oral Reading , Silent  Reading , Comprehension, Spelling, Vocabulary Building , Picture Reading

 

v  Sign Language - Words and phrases to allow communication with the hearing impaired

 

v  Heritage Fun Time - Exploration of aspects of our heritage through games, tours and storytelling

 

v  Computer Studies - Basic computer skills

 

v  Personal Development - Teaching of some basic life skills, e.g. personal hygiene, social graces, conflict management, group work, etc.

v  Counselling - For both Children and/or Parents/Guardians
